HUMAN REFRAME INSIGHTS™
HUMAN REFRAME INSIGHTS™
Issue 001
What Happens Before We React?
Someone raises their voice.
Someone walks away.
Someone becomes defensive.
Someone suddenly shuts down.
To the outside world, the behaviour seems immediate.
Almost automatic.
Yet behaviour rarely begins where we believe it does.
Long before words are spoken, something else has already happened.
And that hidden process may be one of the most overlooked parts of human behaviour.
The Illusion of the Present Moment
People often believe reactions are caused by what is happening now.
Sometimes they are.
Often they are not.
The present moment is simply where the reaction becomes visible.
Its roots may stretch into past experiences, emotional memory, nervous system conditioning, learned beliefs, and unconscious interpretations that occur within seconds.
The Human Reframe Observation
The Human Reframe Model™ proposes that behaviour is not the beginning of the story.
It is often the final visible stage of an invisible internal sequence.
Between an event and a reaction lies a series of rapid processes that influence how we interpret the situation before we even realise they are happening.
Understanding those processes creates the possibility of choice.
Before your next difficult conversation...
Pause.
Ask yourself:
What happened inside me before I reacted?
What did I believe?
What did I assume?
What did my nervous system prepare me for?
Awareness rarely changes the past.
It can change the next response.
